In May of 2024, I eviscerated my savings to support an expedition into Peru, where I ventured to little-known and undiscovered ancient sites in order to capture and document them. It's been tough to shake off the reality of what many said was the epitome of financial irresponsibility, but this had been a dream of mine since childhood, and I believe in the importance of the mission this channel has been founded upon – to document, investigate, and take measures to preserve these ancient sacred locations.
If you're on this page reading this, you've probably seen my videos, and have been made aware just how crucial this mission is. Whether it's due to sites being ransacked by looting, being completely destroyed from agricultural expansion, or simply lying in ruin overlooked by the government and universities – the one thing that is clear to me, is that they deserve attention. The surface has barely been scratched at these sites, where the historical accounts, legacies, traditions, and artifacts are still right there, buried, begging for acknowledgment and investigation.
Imagine what could be accomplished with the proper resources; the proper tools and equipment to analyze, date, map, and uncover ancient structures and artifacts. Imagine what those discoveries may reinforce – or alter – about the things we think we know about these ancient cultures and our distant human past. It's all out there, just waiting...
This mission can use all the help it can get – large or small!
To support the Pillars of the Past mission directly, contributions can be made on gofundme, which will help toward garnishing the resources needed to properly document, investigate, and preserve these majestic pieces of our history.
